Acne Diet Must Haves (part 1)

I’m revamping the good ol diet. Yeah. Cool, great, I’m so excited. It could be cool, trim off some pounds, AND I have read that your diet has more to do with your skin than you may think. (Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you that chocolate and greasy French fries are bad—we all know.) Hopefully these are a few new things that you may not know about keeping your skin in shape.

 

Water—is probably the easiest and fastest way to take the edge off of your fine lines. It also pushes out those toxins—the ones that cause our acne. Water works because it improves your blood flow and circulation—giving you a soft glow.

 

Something called “selenium”. It is a trace mineral that has been found to be ideal to protect your skin from free radical damage. It could be helpful in skin cancer prevention. You can get your selenium in Brazil nuts, button mushrooms, shrimp, lamb, and fish such as snapper, cod, halibut, tuna, and salmon. Grab some light turkey meat, oysters, sardines, crab, and whole-wheat pasta and you are eating your selenium.

 

When battling free radicals–CoQ10 is a powerful antioxidant that is actually made naturally in your body that protects skin and other body cells from the damages of free radicals. CoQ10 is also involved in energy production and keeping your immune system in shape.
